Ceres Group is pleased to announce the charities they will be proudly supporting throughout the 2025 financial year. Each of these organisations carries out vital work in palliative and end-of-life care, and Ceres Group are delighted to contribute to the charities’ ongoing efforts.

Below is a brief introduction to each charity:

Katharine House Hospice

Serving North Oxfordshire, South Northamptonshire, and Stafford, Katharine House provides free specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults with incurable illnesses. Care is delivered in the hospice, in hospitals, and in patients’ homes. Their services include medical care, wellbeing support, bereavement counselling, and a 24-hour advice line. The charity relies heavily on local fundraising to cover the majority of its £4–4.7 million annual costs.

Tapping House (The Norfolk Hospice)

Tapping House supports individuals across Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire, offering inpatient, outpatient, and hospice-at-home services for those with life-limiting conditions. They also provide emotional and bereavement support, helping patients remain in the place of their choice. The hospice is a recognised leader in palliative care education and is funded primarily through charitable donations and its network of charity shops.

Sobell House Hospice

Based in Oxfordshire and integrated with the NHS, Sobell House provides compassionate end-of-life care through its inpatient unit, day centre, and outreach services. The hospice focuses on holistic care, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and is internationally recognised as a WHO Collaborating Centre for palliative care education and research.

Farleigh Hospice

Serving mid Essex since 1982, Farleigh Hospice offers a wide range of services including inpatient care, home visits, rapid access and discharge support, and bereavement services. Around 80% of their care takes place in the community. Farleigh relies on both NHS funding and public donations, with daily running costs of approximately £21,000.

Ceres Group is proud to stand behind these remarkable organisations and look forward to supporting their work through various activities, fundraising events, and awareness campaigns over the next year.
