Rosalie Sanders
Farming Consultant | Oxford
Rosalie grew up on a beef and sheep farm on Exmoor. Having been encouraged by her parents not to pursue a career in agriculture she chose to study Mathematics with Business Management at Newcastle University. However, whilst trying to persuade a friend that eating a vegan diet wasn’t going to save the planet, a look at some statistics online set off a ‘lightbulb’ realisation about the ecological impact of our whole agriculture and food system, and a desire to improve this.
In 2022 she completed the MSc Agroecology course at Harper Adams University, and then spent 2 years working for and visiting regenerative farmers and growers in Australia and New Zealand, as well as short stints in the soil carbon and horticultural seed sectors. Having enjoyed a small taste of agronomy during her time abroad, she joined Ceres Rural in September 2024 as a Graduate and is working towards her BASIS and FACTS qualifications.
Outside of her agricultural interests Rosalie is a keen choral singer and a sailor, volunteering as a 2nd mate with the Ocean Youth Trust South. She also enjoys exploring the local countryside with her springer spaniels.
