Job Title: Skilled Farm Operator & Relief Sprayer – 4,500ac arable and contracting business

Location: Southeast Essex, near Ingatestone

Reports to: Gaymer Farms Management Team

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

Gaymer Farms is a large, progressive farming and contracting business based in Southeast Essex, growing around 4,500 acres of combinable crops. We pride ourselves on operating modern machinery and farming practices while maintaining high standards across all aspects of the business.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Operator & Relief Sprayer Operator to join our team based near Ingatestone, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a professional arable farming business using modern machinery and precision farming technology.

The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach across all areas of the farming operation and will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team. Enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Likely duties will include:

  • Drilling with a Vaderstad Rapid
  • Primary and secondary cultivations
  • Relief spray operation on a Fendt Rogator
  • General tractor and arable farm work
  • Use of GPS and precision farming technology
  • Machinery maintenance and workshop duties

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • PA1 and PA2 spraying certificates
  • Telehandler qualification
  • Experience operating modern arable machinery
  • GPS and precision farming experience beneficial
  • Good workshop and machinery maintenance skills
  • Welding experience would be an advantage
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Training can be provided for the right candidate.

Onsite accommodation if required.
