Increased demand for the expanding range of services offered by the Ceres Group has seen growth with the business opening two new offices and recruiting additional team members, as it strengthens its position in rural and property consultancy.

Already well-established in the east and the south, delivering independent advice across the full spectrum of rural, land and property matters, a new Essex base will enhance the service delivery of Ceres Group in East Anglia and the south-east.

The second new office, near Shrewsbury in Shropshire, will be the springboard for it to deliver farm business and property advice into the West Midlands and the North-West.

Managing Partner of Ceres Rural Charlie Ireland says, “We are intent on giving farmers and landowners the guidance and direction that they need to navigate the agricultural transition and prepare for the future, wherever they are.”

“Having an office close to Shrewsbury with a dedicated team of professionals will allow us to do that, at a time that they need it most.”

The fact that Ceres Rural is one of the providers of Defra’s Future Farming Resilience Fund will appeal to those farm businesses that may not have been able to access the fund before, he believes.

“It provides one-to-one, free of charge advice to help with future business success and is open for applications until March 2025,” notes Mr Ireland.

Land consultancy, development, planning and property expertise will also be available from both new offices, along with strategic business advice, in a joined-up offer that reflects the needs of existing and new clients.

“We’re excited for the future and plan to keep growing and developing,” says John McLarty, Managing Partner of Ceres Property. “As such, we will continue to come up with innovative, forward-looking solutions that meet our high standards and reflect the evolving needs of our clients, whether they are farmers, landowners, investors or developers.”

Ceres Group is also recruiting and is keen to hear from candidates with an interest in the partnership and the drive and ambition to succeed.
