Ceres Rural and Ceres Property are now part of the newly formed Ceres Group. Following a merger, Ceres Property will now also offer the specialist and professional development and planning services of consultancy, Frazer Halls Associates.

The formation of the group and expansion of its service offering further strengthens the position of Ceres Rural and Ceres Property as leaders in providing rural consultancy to landowners, farmers, the rural economy, and now developers alike.

The merger brings the prominent and reputable names of John McLarty and Iain Halls onto the management board of Ceres Group, joining Charlie Ireland and Richard Means as Managing Partners. Paul Fosh, another well-known expert in the field, will join Will Gemmill as Executive Partner.

Charlie Ireland, Managing Partner of Ceres Rural said “We are delighted to be able to confidently provide Ceres Rural clients with an affiliated property consultancy service, which operates with the same values, ambitions and high standards upon which Ceres Rural has built its foundation and enviable reputation.”

John McLarty, Managing Partner of Ceres Property added “The Ceres Property offering is now diverse and comprehensive. The merger with Frazer Halls Associates, not only enables us to offer clients a more thorough service provision, it also prepares the business for further expansion, facilitating the growth through the added specialisms and the individual partners and consultants brought to the team.

“By joining Ceres Rural in Ceres Group, we are able to actively align with the forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and one team approach it abides by in delivering independent, experience-led, expert advice.”

Ceres Rural and Ceres Property will work closely with their clients, partners, employees and other external stakeholders to ensure a smooth integration process. This will occur over the next two weeks, with the official launch of Ceres Group taking place on 21st May 2023. Of course, during this time, clients will continue to receive the same first-class service to which they have come to expect.

Oilseed rape: a promising season so far – keeping the basics right

This season has delivered some of the strongest-looking oilseed rape (OSR) crops we’ve seen for a while, with strong autumn establishment, good spring growth, and plenty of ‘corner-to-corner’ flowering. A combination of kinder establishment conditions, leftover nitrogen residues, and more considered cabbage stem flea beetle (CSFB) husbandry has helped set crops up well. The key now is not to […]
