Sam grew up working on his family’s arable and horticultural farm in Lincolnshire, where he developed a strong understanding of practical farming systems alongside a focus on environmental improvement. He graduated from Newcastle University with an Honours degree in Countryside Management, achieving a first-class dissertation focusing on environmental schemes and the rapidly developing Biodiversity Net Gain market.
Sam has a keen interest in agronomy, farm management and stewardship and is preparing to take his FACTS and BASIS training.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys his rugby, tennis and cricket when he isn’t busy fishing.
