With applications for the Sustainable Farming Incentive and capital grants currently closed, many farmers are looking for alternative sources of financial support to continue marking improvements. The Thames Water Catchment Fund offers an opportunity to help bridge that gap.

The Fund aims to support farmers in reducing agricultural herbicide pollution at its source, protecting local water quality in a sustainable way by funding on-farm improvements, equipment upgrades and best-practice initiatives.

Application details:

  • The fund is open all year round with applications reviewed twice a year in May and November. The next review date is 30th
  • Each Single Business Identifier (SBI) can submit one application per year, with a maximum of £15,000 in funding.
  • The application form is available by emailing projects@thameswater.co.uk
  • Applicants must be located within a Thames Water priority area as shown on the map below.
